Logo and guidelines for the use of the Norway and Norad logos abroad

Consistent and correct use of the Norway and Norad logos is important for effective visual communication.

Guidelines for the use of the Norway and Norad logos abroad

The Norwegian government would like to ensure Norway's visibility as a donor. These are the guidelines for ensuring unity and correct presentation of our support.

Norway logo

Grant recipients are expected to use the Norway logo in all publications, reports, press releases, and other written materials, and whenever possible in conferences, social media, videos, websites, and other materials related to the project. At project sites, the grant recipient may choose to put up signboards or plaques or display donor information related to the project.

Full usage guidelines and the Norway logo files may be downloaded here: https://www.norway.no/logo

Norad logo

The Norad logo should be used when it is not appropriate to use the Norway logo. This includes communication products reflecting the views of Norad and not Norwegian policy or when Norad has a formal role in an event, e.g as an organizer, not representing Norway. The Norad logo should also be used when Norad is the point of contact and a logo is needed, or when it is of importance to identify the contractual partners for legal purposes. If the two logos are used together, they should follow the sender system for placement.

Placement of the Norad logo

The Norad logo must always be placed where it is clearly visible and readable, and in harmony with other elements. Incorrect placement would be too close to a format edge, other logos or other graphic elements. Sufficient spot around the logo is equivalent to the size of the N in the brand mark (Norad).

Please direct any questions regarding Norad's visual identity to the Norad department for communications.
