Global health

Since the beginning of the millennium, a number of serious challenges to global health have been halted, and even reversed.

Health investments aiming to stimulate economic growth, reduce poverty and produce better health and well-being have increased significantly over the period, driven by strong political commitment.

Additionally health has increasingly been understood as a major contributor to economic development and consumption of health services as a cause of households falling into poverty.

Global health continues to be a prioritized area within Norwegian development policy.
