Head of Public-Private Partnership, World Economic Forum
Dominic Kailashnath Waughray. Head Public Private Partnerships, Member Management Committee World Economic Forum. Dominic has led the environment and resource security agenda at the World Economic Forum since 2006. Dominic has a degree in Geography from the University of Cambridge (1992) and a Masters in Natural Resource Economics from University College London (1994). He was the inaugural natural resource economist at the UK Natural Environment Research Council 1994-1998; and was with the consultancy Environmental Resources Management 1998-2005, where he became Managing Partner. In 2006 Dominic joined the World Economic Forum as the inaugural Director of Environmental Initiatives to build the Forum’s engagement in environment and resource security issues. The World Economic Forum is now an established contributor to the global environment agenda, in particular in relation to promoting public-private cooperation. Current areas of activity include Water Security, Climate Change and Sustainable Growth /Circular Economy. In 2014 Dominic was invited to join the World Economic Forum’s Management Committee to head World Economic Forum public-private partnerships. Dominic is an International Fellow of IIED; an Associate Fellow of the Royal Institute of International Affairs; a Trustee of The Climate Group, Chair of the 2030 Water Resources Group Executive Committee; and Chair of the UNFCCC Momentum for Change Advisory Panel on Climate Finance.
Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim
Indigenous Peoples of Africa Coordinating Committee (IPACC)
Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim is a member of the Executive committee of the Indigenous Peoples of Africa Coordinating Committee (IPACC), Congo Basin Region representative, with a background in indigenous peoples' rights and environment protection with the three Rio Conventions. She is also a member of the United Nations-Indigenous Peoples Partnership (UNIPP).
Jonathan Horrel
Director Sustainability, Mondalez
Jonathan Horrell is Director Sustainability for Mondelēz International (formerly Kraft Foods). He is responsible for sustainability strategy, managing key sustainability issues, and building relationships with policy makers and external stakeholders to support the company’s strategic sustainability priorities. His responsibilities cover sustainability across the value chain from agricultural sourcing to post-consumer waste, working alongside specialists from functions across the business. Ha also managed communications programmes, supporting Kenco's introduction of coffees from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms to the UK and Ireland.
Noako Ishi
CEO, Global Environment Facility
Dr. Naoko Ishii has been Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer at The Global Environment Facility since August 1, 2012. At Japan's Ministry of Finance, Dr. Ishii provides oversight of Japanese development policies on Multilateral Development Banks, as well as global environmental funds including the GEF, the Climate Investment Funds, the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund, and the Forest Carbon Partnership Fund. She represented the Japanese Government on the Transitional ... Committee responsible for designing Green Climate Fund. Dr. Ishii has three decades of international experience in development, finance and global environmental issues.
Thomas Silberhorn
Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development
Thomas Silberhorn was appointed Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development in February 2014. Prior to this appointment, he was Deputy Chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Parliament (Bundestag).
