Science Domain Leader, World Agroforestry Centre-ICRAF

Peter A Minang is a member of the Oslo REDD Exchange Program Committee and a Leader of the Environmental Services, Landscapes and REDD+ Research at World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) and Global Coordinator for the ASB Partnership. He leads a team of staff working on REDD+, Multifunctional Landscapes and ecosystem services across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Current research interests include the nexus between REDD+ and poverty reduction, mitigation and adaption in landscapes and ecosystems services and SDGs.

Ellysar Baroudy

Lead Carbon Finance Specialist, BioCarbon Fund, World Bank Group

Ellysar Baroudy, Lead Carbon Finance Specialist in the Climate Change Group of the World Bank, manages the two main forest and land use carbon funds at the World Bank, the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility and the BioCarbon Fund, with a combined capital of US$1.5billion. Elly has worked on results-based carbon finance programs ranging from afforestation/reforestation to reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+) as well as agriculture. Most recently, her group has been working on integrated landscape approaches for climate change mitigation. Having worked at the World Bank for over 10 years, she was the Team Leader for the ten Kyoto funds until 2010. She has a background in environmental science.

Flory Botamba

Project Coordinator, WWF DRC

Flory Botamba Esombo is WWF’s REDD+ Focal Point and Project Manager in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He currently manages one of WWF’s most successful REDD+ initiatives to date, the Maï-Ndombe project in DRC’s new Province of Maï-Ndombe. This project is part of a WWF Forest and Climate Program funded by the Government of Norway through a grant administered by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad). 

Jeremy Freund

Wildlife Works Carbon

Jeremy Freund is an applied conservation scientist who solves problems and provides decision support for forest‐based climate change mitigation and preparedness efforts. Specializing in the fields of satellite remote sensing and applied geography, Jeremy brings over 20 years of broad technical and managerial skills to his current position as VP Carbon Development with Wildlife Works Carbon. Jeremy has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an M.A. in Physical Geography from the University of California, Santa
Barbara. To date, Jeremy has managed 8 successful REDD+ Project validations and 17 successful verifications for 4 active REDD+ Projects, all of which are dual‐accredited with both the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and the Climate, Community and Biodiversity (CCB) standard.

Victor Kabangele Wa Kadilu

Coordinator, National REDD+, MoE, DRC

Victor Kabangele Wa Kadilu is in charge of the REDD+ process in DRC, coordinating with national stakeholders and international partners. He also has responsibility for the implementation of key activities, politics and reforms in order to advance the vision of the DRC Government for an economic and social sustainable development of the country as stated in the National REDD+ Strategy.
