Annual Report 2019/2020 From knowledge to implementation

The Evaluation Department in Norad releases an annual report every year. The report summarises the knowledge from the evaluations of Norwegian development cooperation that are carried out over the past year, and draws lessons across the different reports. 

The annual report for 2019/2020 is titled “From knowledge to implementation”, and raises the importance of using relevant knowledge and insight in the planning and implementation of development assistance initiatives. This focus is put forth as particularly important when facing the global consequences of the covid-19 pandemic.

Thorough analyses, good coordination of the Norwegian efforts and active collaboration with international partners, are the three most important lessons learned from the Evaluation Department when summarising the evaluations over the past year.
