Peacebuilding : a development perspective : strategic framework

International efforts to prevent violent conflicts and build lasting and sustainable peace can help to prevent human suffering and loss of life, reduce poverty and mitigate the negative consequences of conflicts far beyond the areas where they are being fought. Norway can and should contribute to intensifying and targeting these efforts. The strategic framework for peacebuilding will assist us in this
